How to Make America’s Robots Great Again

It well could be the unintended consequence of Trump's business tax cuts and import taxes.

Automation is relentless.
And not stopped by walls

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

And in this case, it might be INCREASED because of it. To help keep costs down (if they are kept from cheaper labor markets) , companies will more and more look to replacing people with machines so their products can remain competitive.

The Unintended Consequence could be that what is billed as helping could well in the long run hurt.

TRue.
I think that if Donald Trump were actually interested in making the Nation Great again he would do well to back off of the jingoistic threats and help prepare a workforce for the future.

Even if he brings back coal, for example, it's going to be more massive machines than jobs.

Most of the poor schlubs thinking that many of the old jobs are coming back will eventually figure it out.
