Fake news without a doubt!!!! Just ask the news media.
I have noticed that you rarely, if ever discuss Trump's policy proposals, or defend his actions and statements.
Rather, you just mock his critics.
Why is that? Are you uninterested in policy and the country's direction, and content to view politics like a soccer match?
Are Trump's ideas so hard to defend?
What is it?Astute observation for ALL of us.
THAT is the only way to have actual meaningful dialogue. I know we all make snide remarks, but the ones that actually comment on the policies and actions using dialogue meaningful to the subject are the ones that ultimately will be seen as not just partisan hacks.
I have seen some posters take positions that have been on both sides of the political equation and those that only spout party lines. Nothing wrong with generally supporting one Party or another in general but being just political hacks is another. We have WAY too many "news organizations" that are just partisan politics machines. They live primarily on cable news and other alt-right and left websites.
I have made it pretty clear in recent posts that I no longer can associate with the current R-tribe and will take action once I am back in Pa to drop my R-tribe affiliation and become an Independent. I hate that it will leave me on the outside of the primary (and maybe I will re-think that), but I can no longer stand the current state of affairs in politics and don't really want to be associated with EITHER Party.
Good points.
Meaningful dialogue can be hard to come by.
Case in point. I started this thread yesterday:
It discusses possible unintended consequences of the threatened import tax on the Mexican auto industry.
I thought that the article was very informative and measured in tone.
I was very disappointed when the first response in the thread was some silly rant, ignoring the points in the article, whining that Trump isn't treated fairly, and threatening that democrats will lose unions, etc.
Completely partisan and wacko.
I mean, WTF? Can't we have some discussion around here?

I try, I really do. Maybe we need to move more conversations and discussions to 'issues only' once in a while.

I know that you try.
And, it's appreciated.
