If you can't see the difference between Trump actually owning the businesses and just selling his name for those businesses to use, well, I can't make you see the difference through your hate. As far as being made in Vietnam, maybe that will change with Trump's renegotiation of trade deals.
I heard on the radio that Trump is in rapid fire mode with EO's. You guys better stock up on the Pepto.

Once again Tim fails to adequately defend the actions of Trump and is content merely to taunt those who offer commentary.
How disappointing.

Tim, is that supposed to be an answer to my scenario in post #7?
If so, you need to read it again, carefully, and try again to give a more definitive answer. Because, either you did not understand it with your initial read, or you chose to go the Kellyanne Conway, Sean Spicer, Reince Priebus deflection route. If your response is due to the latter, just say so.

No it wasn't, but now to answer it. Who says the Trump line of merchandise will be exempt from the tariffs? Do you know something the rest of the country doesn't know? Should they get any special treatment? Of course not.

What actions do I need to defend Goose? The actions he's taking to renegotiate trade deal? The actions he's taking to give companies the incentive to move back to the US? There is nothing to defend, he's doing exactly what he said he was going to do and one of the reasons he got elected in the first place.

Tim, the question is IF he really believed what he said, he had the opportunity for YEARS to do the "right thing" to Make America Great Again. He chose NOT to. His word means almost nothing to those that understand where his heart is - HIMSELF !

Trump had tweeted that it would be better to skip the meeting if Peña Nieto continued to insist Mexico would not pay for the wall
SO, Pena cancels meeting
Just one other little dittie
40% of a Mexican import is American
THAT may soon change !

Couple of other things to ponderA study from Pew Research, for instance, suggests that more immigrants have returned to Mexico since the end of the Great Recession in 2009 than have migrated to the U.S. The vast majority of immigrants arriving in the U.S. illegally now come from central America.
If, as Trump himself has said, a prosperous Mexico is good for the United States, a reworked trade deal that hurts the Mexican economy could also put more pressure on Mexicans to try to enter the U.S. illegally.
