Ivanka Trump’s Shoe Factory Is Moving From China To Ethiopia Because Labor Costs There Are Much Cheaper.
But, hey we saved jobs for Carrier.

What, no mention of Trumps clothes being made in China? You guys are getting lazy. If Trumps companies didn't move production over seas there would be no business, they'd be bankrupt. Once he changes things so that incentives make the US more competitive his companies will move back with many others.

So, it's OK for Trump to do all his business overseas while promising "America First"
How ridiculous.
“Doublethink means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one’s mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them.”
1984. George Orwell.
I think that you are the one getting lazy.
I guess a hallmark of the authoritarian mindset is for the people to become sheep and let the Dear Leader do their thinking.

OK, I always suspected this, but didn't have the facts to back it up until now, so it's time to school you guys....again.
On another political website the Dems were crying about the same thing. With their collective mindset the talking points are pretty much identical. So while the Dems were blasting Trump for being a hypocrite, someone confirmed what I suspected. Of course it was totally ignored by the Trump haters. But, I didn't take that one post as fact so I went digging. Here's a link that blasts Trump the same way you guys are, yet they are completely blind to the fact that one paragraph debunks practically their entire point.
Of course, none of this is shocking in the world of manufacturing. Like many celebrities, Trump sells the use of his name to several companies who manufacture and sell the products, all without Trump’s direct oversight.
So Trump doesn't actually manufacture anything! He just sells his name to other companies and has no power to force those companies to do anything. Just like Micheal Jorden shoes, Martha Stewart paints, Liz Taylor perfumes, those people have nothing to do with the manufacture of the products. But I wasn't satisfied that one paragraph was enough, I wanted to know what he owned. So I found this link to his businesses.
You should probably know that Trump is mostly known as a real estate tycoon. The list there confirms that and if you notice, there is not one manufacturing business listed. For the products you guy cry about being made overseas it is listed as Trump branded products. IE, products with Trumps name on them. So, time for you guys to go to the next thing on your list to be outraged over.Last edited by Tim15856 (1/24/2017 9:38 am)

Oh my, I've been "schooled".
Yea sport, we already knew that Donald and Ivanka aren't actually hunched over a table, stitching purses or ties themselves.
They go into partnership with a manufacturer, and sell their name to the brand. The factories make the product under their names. The product is marketed and sold under their names, and the Trumps make money.
They make money selling a product that is not manufactured in the US, but instead overseas,,,,, all the while Trump touts his "Buy american, by Americans" slogans.
He has no power? Poppycock. If nothing else, Trump has the power to sell his name to only those firms manufacturing in the US.
Obviously. Give us a break!
The charge of hypocrisy is valid,, your pile of obfuscation and word salad notwithstanding.

So Tim, enlighten me as to the difference between what the Trumps are doing with their name and having their products manufactured overseas and, say, an AC manufacturer building a manufacturing facility in, say, Saudi Arabia (great place to build air conditioners), in partnership with a local business entity, staffed with mainly locally contracted labor. The units are produced with an established nameplate that is recognized in the marketplace to enhance sales. Should the AC units be subject to high tariffs if imported to the U.S. Or be exempted like Ivanka's shoes, Donald's hats, shirts, ties, etc.?
Just asking.
Be careful . . . This could be a trick question.

Next up, an explanation about how the EPA gag order really isn't a gag order.
Perhaps they'll call it enhanced communication.
Does that sound sufficiently Orwellian?
Anyway, I'm ready to get Schooled,,,, again!
