Yuge Surprise

The New York Times is reporting that the Trump Administration has asked FBI Director James Comey to stay on the job.

Who says Donald Trump doesn't pay his contractors,,,,,

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

Re: Yuge Surprise

To be fair, FBI Director posts are typically 10 years and directors serve different administrations.

An argument can be made that had Trump replaced him, it would have been seen just as political than it does with him staying on.

Just a thought.

I think you're going to see a lot of different United States of America over the next three, four, or eight years. - President Donald J. Trump

Re: Yuge Surprise

Yea, Trump replacing the guy who pretty much gave him the presidency would have been seen as "political".

The best deals always involve plausible denialbility

Re: Yuge Surprise

And, while we're on the subject of yuge surprises ,,,,,,,,,,,,,

U.S. President Donald Trump's administration has moved in the past week to curb the flow of information from several government agencies involved in environmental issues in actions that may have been designed to discourage dissenting views.

Employees at the Environmental Protection Agency, the Interior Department, the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) have seen directives from the newly minted leadership seeking to limit how they communicate to the public, according to multiple sources.

The moves have reinforced concerns that Trump, a climate change doubter, could seek to sideline scientific research showing that carbon dioxide emissions from burning fossil fuels contributes to global warming, as well as the career staffers at the agencies that conduct much of this research.
