WBUR Poll: Republican Gov. Baker More Popular Than Democrat Sen. Warren
Over four years in office, Elizabeth Warren has staked her claim as the Senate's liberal lion. And many Massachusetts voters like it — 51 percent view her favorably. But according to a new WBUR poll, only 44 percent think Warren "deserves reelection." Forty-six percent think voters ought to "give someone else a chance.""No one's going to look at a 44 percent reelect number and think that that's a good number," said Steve Koczela, president of The MassINC Polling Group, which conducts surveys for WBUR. "No one's going to look at it being close to even between 'reelect' and 'give someone else a chance' and think that that's reassuring.
”The live telephone survey (topline, crosstabs) of 508 voters across Massachusetts was conducted Jan. 15-17. It has a margin of error of 4.4 percentage points.Warren’s numbers contrast sharply with those of Gov. Charlie Baker. His favorability rating is 59 percent — 8 points better than Warren. But what’s more striking is that only 29 percent of poll respondents think someone else should get a chance at the governor’s office.
How could the state’s top Republican be more popular than its top Democrat? Steve Koczela says it’s about bipartisanship."When you look at Elizabeth Warren's favorables, only 12 percent of Republicans have a favorable view of her," Koczela said. "When you look at Baker, 60 percent of Democrats view him favorably. So he has bipartisan appeal where Elizabeth Warren really never has.”

Is Baker planning on running against Warren in '18?
I think being a senator at the forefront of the national debate turns off some voters within that senator's state. The flip side is that Warren will be able fund raise nationally when her campaigns kicks off.

This survey is obviously riggged . . . Just like all the other polls, surveys, media estimates, and photos of events.

Oh, oh, looks like rongone is right. Another rigged poll using alternative facts? BTW, be careful of data that polls 508 voters in a whole freakin' state, but I realize some people are saying they like their governor. But, here's another conclusion we might draw from this highly extensive and reliable poll ............ some people are saying they like both people in the jobs they do. How about that?

No whispers about that as yet.
Baker would be up for re-election as governor in 2018, and everything points to him running again for that job.
Hey, who knows? Charlie is sitting on a ton of campaign cash.
On a lighter note, Red Sox great, and political wackado Curt Schilling is interested in running against Warren.
As for Baker, he keeps his head down attending to the practical and pragmatic aspects of acting as the states executive officer. He's not super ideological.
Apples to oranges when comparing to a senator.
