In the same series of votes General James Mattis got the wavier he needed to be Secretary of Defense.
The Senate should vote to confirm him next week.

There seems to be a lot of crowing about the repeal, but I am hearing nothing of anything that will help all of those who will be without health care very soon.
Wonder why that is here on the Exchange ?

Justin Amash, (R-Utah) took to Twitter last night to give his perspective on the reporting on the actions of the House the on this vote. It's worth a read.
(You need to read the tweets from the bottom up.)

Kinda like a dog that chases cars.

The non partisan Congressional Budget office analyzed the repeal of the ACA voted on by the House last year.
They estimated that it would leave 20 million people uninsured the first year, going up to 32 million in ten years.
And insurance premiums would double over that period.
Hey common, high five!

Frankly, I can't imagine anyone stupid enough to do something like that.
It would be political suicide.
People will not have forgotten about it by the next election.
I don't know about the rest of you but healthcare coverage ranks way, way up there in terms of importance.
It's on my mind every day.

Oh, quick prediction.
There will be a lot of noise, they may even draft a bill, vote on it, and tragically lose.
Then they can claim both victory and the goodwill of the people they're screwing.

You may very well be right. As I stated earlier, these repeal nuts are like a dog chasing a car.
