Obamacare takes first real step closer to repeal after Senate vote
WASHINGTON — After debating seven hours through the night, the Senate voted early Thursday to take the first real step toward repealing Obamacare — a top goal of congressional Republicans and President-elect Donald Trump.Senators voted 51-48 to approve a budget resolution that Republicans will use as a vehicle to speed through repeal of the Affordable Care Act, better known as Obamacare.
House leaders plan to take it up Friday.Senators began voting on 19 amendments to the resolution about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday before passing the budget measure about 1:30 a.m. Thursday.Republicans said the 2010 health care law is broken and must be repealed and replaced with something better — although just what that replacement plan will look like has not yet been revealed by congressional leaders.
Critics of the law cite sky-rocketing premiums, high deductibles and fewer health care choices for patients as insurers pull out of the program."When Obamacare’s supporters forced their partisan law on our country, they promised an easy-to-use system; one that would lower premiums and out-of-pocket health care costs; one that would foster choice and allow families to keep the plans and doctors they liked," said Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky. "But it didn’t take long for the American people to discover the truth about Obamacare. Too many have been personally hurt by this law. Too many feel they’re worse off than they were before Obamacare."

Not yet been revealed by the congressional leaders or to the congressional leaders?
A reasonable translation of that vague statement is that these congressional leaders have no idea what they propose to replace the ACA with. I mean, what can we expect from these congressional leaders . . . They've only been talking about this for four years, been telling us everything that's wrong with it, and disparaging anyone that supports it or benefits from it, but they're unable to come up with a rational plan to improve/replace it with? WTF are these congressional leaders actually spending their time doing?
I'm gonna say spouting partisan political slurs against their opposition on twitter or 24 hour 'news' channels.

Here's a good one ................ some lady called into a talk show and said she wants Obamacare repealed, but favors the Affordable Care Act. You can't make this stuff up.

You don't have to know anything to have an opinion

As a matter of fact, with some people, the less they know about something, the more stubbornly they "know" it.

Had a thought earlier today that might make Fred happy.....
If the Republicans really botch the so-called replacement to the ACA, and millions are thrown off of the insurance rolls, the democrats, who are becoming a more liberal by the day, could come back hard with the concept of a national health plan and could get a majority of the American people to get behind it.

Touchdown!!!!!
But, here's another possibility: Repeal Obamacare, come up with a replacement that mimics Obamacare and call it Trumpcare. The opponents of Obamacare will embrace the same thing if it's re-labeled Trumpcare. Wait an see,
