What positions, problem-solving solutions, ideas, etc., do we like about Scott Wagner? I don't know the guy.

I would much prefer my state senator to concern himself with matters of importance to his constituents and professionally carrying out the duties of the office to which he was elected, rather than running for another office. It is clear, due to Wagner's performance and public statements, that his ego and thirst for more power will override and take precedence over his sworn duties as a state senator.
Do your job, Scott.

When I lived in East Manchester Twp in York County, his company picked up my garbage.
I trust him to collect the trash of the people of York County.
And, interestingly enough, when we lived in York, my wife worked for the York County Solid Waste Authority and got to visit the Penn Waste recycling facility. She was blown away by the technology used to separate recycling material there and the overall morale of the workforce.
But, I do not want this guy to run the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He is a Trump acolyte. He is too conservative. He will use his wealth to try and buy the election versus trying to convince people his policies are better than his opponents.
I find that Tom Wolf has been a fairly weak governor. I'll consider other republicans. But I will not consider Scott Wagner.

One individual I'll never vote for again. You fooled me once Scott but never again.

I like a kick-off that is not open to the general public.

I like Wagner as a state senator, but I'm undecided if I'll support him for governor. We'll see. I really hope another democrat challenges Tom Wolf. I really like Eugene DePasquale.

Hopefully some other Republicans decide to run for Governor. I'm sure all the "campaigning" and "financing" of other state Reps and Senators that he did will "payoff" as endorsements from those individuals.
Here is to hoping the next Governor is not Wagner or Wolf, because I agree with Lager's assessment that Wolf is weak. His handling of the previous years budget and the recent layoffs at L&I show how cold and politically calculated both Wagner and Wolf are. I think we are in for a long two years until the election.

I've post about Wagner before, "the best government waste money can buy".
The meaning can vary depending on comma placement or non placement.
Ron Miller became a friend during his years in office, and sitting with his 80+ year old mother watching his defeat was excruciating. Wagner used his waste money to buy slick postcards which arrived week after week vilifying Ron as tool of Philadelphia. And when Ron finally struck back with his "millionaire trashman" ad suddenly HE became the bad guy in the public eye.
As for Wagner being a Trump acolyte, "acolyte" means "one who follows".
I'd say Wagner's upset was a forerunning for Trump, and, if there is any folllowing, Trump is a Wagner acolyte.

If DePasquale was running I could vote for him. I think he has to be the most bipartisan person I have ever seen.
He has served all citizens of PA in a remarkable manner.
Wagner has done a good job as a State Senator. I think he is truly trying to look out for every taxpayer.
I would have no issue voting for him as governor.
