Trump Falsely Says U.S. Claim of Russian Hacking Came After Election
WASHINGTON — President-elect Donald J. Trump on Thursday falsely stated that the United States government had waited until after the election “to complain” that Russia had hacked into American political organizations to interfere in the presidential race. But in doing so, he raised substantive questions about the Obama administration’s slow response to a cyberattack that proved successful.
In another of his provocative, early-morning posts on Twitter, Mr. Trump cast doubt on the government’s conclusion that Russia had carried out the hacking with the approval of the highest levels of the Kremlin, suggesting instead that the finding was a case of postelection sour grapes by President Obama.
“Why did they only complain after Hillary lost?” Mr. Trump asked, ignoring the fact that the director of national intelligence, James R. Clapper Jr., had formally blamed Russia on Oct. 7 — a full month before Election Day — for the cyberattack on the Democratic National Committee and other organizations. In September, meeting privately in China with President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia, Mr. Obama not only complained, the White House says, but warned him of consequences if the Russian activity did not halt.

I guess Trump should have done something to protect the United States computer systems from any hacking.
Wait that something Obama should have done. Another fail...............

Trump unfortunately makes a LOT of claims that are false which is why he generally hates the press.

You seem to be concerned with two things only in regards to Russian hacking. First, denying that it occurred. And failing that, blaming it on Obama.
If foreign powers meddle in our elections it will hurt us all.
We need to understand it, and combat it. Don't be short-sighted. Left unchecked, someday a foreign power will smear someone you actually like.
You have to get out of this hyper-partisan mindset, and things will become obvious

This observation is correct. Common, you're not looking at the big picture here and implications for the future of elections in America. You gotta take off that team jersey once in a while.

For sure, he cannot have it BOTH ways. Seems to be just political posturing.
In addition, it really ignores the actual topic.

The FBI now states that it agrees with the CIA and NSA.
It was the Russians. And they were trying to tip the scales towards trump.
We have a real mess on our hands.
I respectfully suggest, The Team Jersey needs to be Red, White, AND Blue

I wonder what options we have to retaliate and to prevent this from happening again.
Or, if our new leadership has any interest at all in doing so.
