Hillary Clinton’s losing campaign cost a record $1.2B
Hillary Clinton and her supporters spent a record $1.2 billion for her losing presidential campaign — twice as much as the winner, Donald Trump, according to the latest records.The president-elect, who confounded critics during the campaign by saying there was no need to raise or spend $1 billion or more, ended up making do with $600 million.Clinton’s expensive machine tore through $131.8 million in just the final weeks, finishing with about $839,000 on hand as of Nov. 28.Team Trump spent $94.5 million in the home stretch — from Oct. 20 to Nov. 28 — and had $7.6 million left.
The figures include all spending by the campaigns, PACs and party committees.
“We hold these truths to be self-evident,” former vice president Biden said during a campaign event in Texas on Monday. "All men and women created by — you know, you know, the thing.”

$600 million
Whatever . . . It's money wasted on a dog and pony show to gain power and influence, financed mainly by a bunch of super rich people who are just looking for tax breaks, partisan legislation that favors the privileged, and the prestige of being invited to a state dinner in the White House so they can steal some soap out of the bathroom to show off to their friends at the country club.
Think how far that money would go towards solving some of our problems that effect the lives of the majority of Americans if it was properly and reasonably targeted. We need to limit political contributions (throw out the citizens united decision) and reduce the time allotted for political campaigning to 6 weeks prior to the election date.

The ONLY person that had a populous campaign was Bernie Sanders.
Just because Trump spent "only" $600 Million, don't think for a second that in terms of influence that it is/was much different than the other major party.

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.
