When I was a small child and would attend local h. s. football games in and around West Pittston, PA many of those schools used the N. D. fight song as there's. I could sing it word-by-word and verse-by-verse. I still get chills when hearing it played because of the happy memories it brings. Back in those days I never heard of Penn State or any of the other major college football teams because there was no tv and Saturday-filled college games.

The ND fight song is one of the most stirring I have heard.
If it's # 1 on your list, I have no problem with that at all, and you are in good company!
My favorite teams each Saturday:
1. Penn State.
2. Notre Dame.
3. Whoever is playing Alabama.
