Re: What Replaces the ACA?

It's working well in Massachusetts where it was invented

Re: What Replaces the ACA?

Today Trump announced that he is considering a compromise on the ACA.
NAFTA and the wall are next!

Yep, much of  that bloated hot air is slowly being deflated.  Watching to see what reactions his supporters will have over the coming months.

Re: What Replaces the ACA?

It doesn't appear Trump is going to push to repeal the ACA completely.  I'm not sure what the reaction to that will be among those who wanted to jettison the whole thing.

Re: What Replaces the ACA?

I think this quote I saw from an article describes the policy situation perfectly for Trump (like when he says he is building the wall, repealing ACA, bringing back jobs from overseas):

The press takes him literally, but not seriously; his supporters take him seriously, but not literally.

The vast majority of people who voted for and supported Trump didn't believe everything he said, but they felt he was more likely to actually do something about those issues, instead of nothing.

Re: What Replaces the ACA?

Trump has not taken one official action as President of the United States yet but that has not stopped the complainers from complaining.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident,”  former vice president Biden said during a campaign event in Texas on Monday. "All men and women created by — you know, you know, the thing.”

Re: What Replaces the ACA?

True.
It is something I have trouble getting my brain around. I am a literalist.
So, I shake my head when I see a guy on disability or Medicare, or social security ranting about government.

I missed it entirely. The trump voter can cheer while their candidate vows to repeal Obamacare, secure in the knowledge that he will keep the parts popular with Them.

I'm learning

Wink back at you,
I am well aware that trump has not been sworn in.
I am - obviously- reacting to the statements he and his team are making. As I have every right to do.

And please, a little self awareness would be appreciated.
About the labels. You ceased  being a "complainer " about four days ago, ending an eight year reign.
Wink wink

Re: What Replaces the ACA?

I think reality is setting in for Trump.

Already backing off of claims about the ACA repeal, etc.

I just hope they can hit the ground running. They NEED to and so does he. It is a 24 hour a day job and commitment. I hope and pray he understands THAT fact.
