Correct, Clinton has nobody to blame for this except herself.

If she doesn't setup the server to try and subvert FOIA requests, there is no issue.  Also, remember that Comey might not have been involved in making public statements about the email server if Bill Clinton didn't "bump into" AG Lynch on the tarmac in Phoenix right near the end of the investigation, which forced Lynch to defer to Comey in this whole process.  I have absolutely zero sympathy for Clinton, she brought this all on herself.

Certainly the original sin is Clinton's.
However, I don't believe that it absolves Comey of the blunders that I believe that he has committed


We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

Agreed. 

I liked your points earlier about Comey's decision to go public without having anything to offer and what the implications would have been if he waited. 

So far just a big screw up in how it has been handled.
