VP hopeful Weld is more interested in attacking Trump
Gary Johnson's handed picked guy. The Libertarian party faithful must be really let down by Weld's desertion of the party. Between Johnson's flubs the last couple weeks and now this his credibility is sinking fast.
VP hopeful Weld is more interested in attacking Trump
The Libertarian vice presidential candidate, William F. Weld, said Tuesday that he plans to focus exclusively on blasting Donald Trump over the next five weeks, a strategic pivot aimed at denying Trump the White House and giving himself a key role in helping to rebuild the GOP.
Weld’s comments in a Globe interview mark a major shift in his mission since he pledged at the Libertarian convention in May that he would remain a Libertarian for life and would do all he could to help elect his running mate, Gary Johnson, the former Republican governor of New Mexico.
Friday Sept 30th:
Bill Weld, the Libertarian vice presidential nominee and former Massachusetts governor, suggested Friday that there was one candidate far-and-away the most qualified to be president.According to Weld, that candidate was not his Libertarian running mate, Gary Johnson, but Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
“We hold these truths to be self-evident,” former vice president Biden said during a campaign event in Texas on Monday. "All men and women created by — you know, you know, the thing.”

Every time Drumpf opens his mouth, he provides more reason for others to attack him. The guy is an incessant target by his own design. Somebody ought to take away his Twitter account until he's a responsible adult.

I think that Weld has figured out, a bit late, that Johnson, like Trump, is just not up to the job.
Knowledge and competence still are important to some in this year of the know nothings
We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

There is intelligent life in the 3rd party candidates for sure !
