Bias? Yes, But by Whom?

Fox published this as an example of bias against Donald Trump.
But, were they simply demonstrating their own bias?
Look at how they defend him.

Bias Alert
Trump camp slams media over 'out-of-context' frenzy on PTSD remarks

The Donald Trump campaign is firing back at the media over a slew of “out-of-context” reports and headlines asserting the Republican nominee took a swipe at veterans suffering from PTSD by suggesting they aren’t “strong” and “can’t handle” the stress of war.

Trump technically said those words during remarks to veterans in Herndon, Va., on Monday. But he did so while addressing how to help veterans suffering post-traumatic stress disorder and prevent military suicides.

"When you talk about the mental health problems, when people come back from war and combat, and they see things that maybe a lot of the folks in this room have seen many times over – and you're strong and you can handle it – but a lot of people can't handle it,”

"Trump technically said those words" ?
No, Trump actually said those words.

And yes, it was in the context of addressing how to help veterans. No one has tried to conceal that. What this illustrates (Other than Fox's slavish support of Trump) is Donald Trump's rather galling ignorance about PTSD. By perpetuating a myth that PTSD somehow reflects strength/weakness, he attaches a stigma to the condition that will increase the suffering of thousands. THAT is the story that Fox so intentionally ignores.

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

Re: Bias? Yes, But by Whom?

Poor Trump.  The evil media takes everything he says "out of context".

The solution, obviously, would be to ban the media.

Or maybe, Mr Trump can just STFU.

I find it delightful how Trumpites can deny so many Trumpisms when they are all on tape and can be played over and over and over.
