Donald could clear this all up if he just released his tax returns,,,,,,,,,,,, like every other candidate in 2 generations.
Trump Tax Records Obtained by The Times Reveal He Could Have Avoided Paying Taxes for Nearly Two Decades
Donald J. Trump declared a $916 million loss on his 1995 income tax returns, a tax deduction so substantial it could have allowed him to legally avoid paying any federal income taxes for up to 18 years, records obtained by The New York Times show.
The 1995 tax records, never before disclosed, reveal the extraordinary tax benefits that Mr. Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, derived from the financial wreckage he left behind in the early 1990s through mismanagement of three Atlantic City casinos, his ill-fated foray into the airline business and his ill-timed purchase of the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan.
Tax experts hired by The Times to analyze Mr. Trump’s 1995 records said that tax rules especially advantageous to wealthy filers would have allowed Mr. Trump to use his $916 million loss to cancel out an equivalent amount of taxable income over an 18-year period.

So he basically stiffed most of his creditors during bankruptcy and is now using that loss to stiff the average Joe who HAS to pay taxes. Swell !
(P.S. in addition he regularly stiffs many of the people who curently do work for him. It is known as "the Trump Discount" - much has been written about his slimy tactic).

Trump lapdog Chris Christie was quick to go on Fox and argue that there was no evidence that Trump did anything illegal.
This misses the mark on several fronts:
Trump doesn't pay little to no income tax because he's "smart". He pays little to no taxes because the system is rigged. Even if nothing illegal was done (Something Trump could prove by releasing his taxes), it highlights how the system is rigged to benefit Business and investing over those of us getting by on earned income.
And, I've looked at his tax proposals. NOTHING in the Trump tax plan addresses this inequity. It's just more of the same.
Trump talks about making America great again. Building up the military, rebuilding infrastructure, helping veterans,,etc. But he proudly says that he's too smart to allow any of his money to be a part of that. Only the little people pay taxes, after all.
I'm not going to be like the hysterical voices of the Trump camp who want to claim criminal behavior of all of their political opponents. I don't think Trump should be in prison. I just don't think that he should be anywhere near the White House.
Trump isn't Al Capone. But, he is a completely self-absorbed sociopath who lacks even the barest conception of civic life and his responsibilities to it.

We should consider it a privilege as citizens of the United States to have to make up for the shortfall in the national coffers due to non-payment of taxes by billionaire tax scofflaws such as Donald Drumpf, by the rest of us paying higher taxes.
Remember what he told us at the first debate regarding non-payment of his taxes: "I'm smart".
That infers the rest of us are stupid for letting him get away with it.
What I want to know is, where is the outrage by conservative commentators in the media, our freedom caucus legislators, and the Alt-Right overzealous gun-totin' independent red white and blue super-duper patriots out there for Drump's disregard of the laws of my country 'tis of thee concerning his personal financial responsibilities that are required of every American citizen?
Someone please explain to me how this kind of dismissive attitude is going to make America great again?

Yeah, I especially liked one of Trump's infamous quotes from the above
I don’t mind sacrificing for the country to be honest with you. But you know, you do have a problem because half of the people don’t pay any tax. And when he’s talking about that he’s talking about people that aren’t also working, that are not contributing to this society. And it’s a problem. But we have 50 percent. It just hit the 50 percent mark. Fifty percent of the people are paying no tax.
Well, NOW we know -- he DOES mind sacrificing. What a lying schmuck he is.
