Hillary's horrible week

This has been a very bad stretch of days for Hillary:

First the Commander in Cheif Forum where here performance was lackluster and she came across as defensive and angry.

Then Friday she insults "half" of Trump supporters and calls them deplorable and irredeemable racists and all the other "ists".  It is never a good idea to insult a wide swath of voters, ask Romney about his comments over the "47%" of voters.

Finally, the "medical" incident she had today is going to raise concern about her health.

Re: Hillary's horrible week

You seem concerned.
I join you in wishing the secretary all the best, and for a speedy recovery for whatever has her under the weather.

As for her characterization of Trump supporters,,,, after a year of Trump bluster, aren't we well past getting all lathered up about over the top remarks?
I'll take a page from the other side:
"I wouldn't have phrased it exactly as she did.
But, I respect her courage to be politically incorrect, to speak directly, to tell it like it is.
I like her because she always says exactly what is on her mind".

Re: Hillary's horrible week

I'm moving past this back-and-forth bomb throwing and ready to focus on platforms, policies, and solutions.  I hope the candidates start doing the same.

I'm not concerned about the health of either candidate any more than my own. I'm ready to vote now.

I think we all see what we want to see in many cases.

Agree with you and I would add we ignore what we want when it reflects negatively on someone or something we support

Re: Hillary's horrible week

True.
For example,
Some have chosen to ignore trumps  display of woefull ignorance on issues at the commander in chief forum to focus solely on Clinton's demeanor.

Re: Hillary's horrible week

To get back to the original topic, I think the past week was very bad for Hillary.

With 20% of the populace still undecided or voting for a third party (per fivethirtyeight.com), which is higher than the normal 5% to 10% that is undecided at this time, I think there is a greater chance the normal that the above described events will hurt her with those still making up their minds.  For people already decided, on way or the other, it won't matter.

Re: Hillary's horrible week

Reuters puts the undecided at 7%, so your premise may be flawed.

And, the Commander in chief forum was hardly a victory for Trump.

Thirdly, I can hardly imagine that saying flattering things about Trump supporters would have won Clinton any support.

Re: Hillary's horrible week

Well IF you trust the ratings of the fivethirtyeight  (Brady seems to use them a lot which is why I am referring to them), Clinton is actually on the uptick in the last 5 days or so vs Trump.

I agree that the Commander in Chief Forum was not a victory for Trump given his answers (actually non-answers)

Nate Silver and the gang over there have done arguably the best job the past couple of elections of collecting statistical data in order to predict the election and monitor trends.

Clinton's chances according to their model have risen from 67% to 70% the past 5 days, but that would not take into account all the things that have happened over the past week as the polls would not have had a chance to be affected by those events.  It will be interesting to see if any changes happen in the next week
