Well, looks like Trump says he was just being sarcastic about Obama being the founder of ISIS and is blaming CNN for not getting it.
Donald Trump on Friday backpedaled on his assertion that President Barack Obama founded the Islamic State, blasting “[r]atings challenged” CNN for seriously reporting what he suggested was a sarcastic comment.
“Ratings challenged @CNN reports so seriously that I call President Obama (and Clinton) ‘the founder’ of ISIS, & MVP,” Trump tweeted Friday morning. “THEY DON'T GET SARCASM?”

Yea, for two days every conservative outlet was begging Trump to say that, But he refused.
Conservative host Hugh Hewitt handed it to him. "You mean that Obama lost the peace and that allowed ISIS to rise"
Trump:
"No, I mean he was literally the founder of ISIS"..
I guess Donald finally got a dictionary and looked up "founder" , and "literally".
Once again the guy who means what he says, explains, "Hey I didn't really mean that".
What a fool!

This is the textbook example of what I had posted about the Trump campaign plan:
1. He says something off the wall
2. Scramble to 'clarify' what he said
3. Blame the media for reporting what he said instead of what he 'really meant'

Yes, it definitely fits the Trump pattern. He can't admit that he gets carried away. So, Trump spends two days telling one incredulous reporter after another, "I meant that literally".
So, the media says, "OK, the dummy believes this obviously untrue thing".
Trump sees that he looks ridiculous, so he attacks the media for actually suggesting that he believes what he says.
The Trumpers will dig in ever more deeply. But, the fool has lost the country.

Like I said, I hope he keeps saying those stupid things. What a schmuck he is. And he keeps proving it - over and over and over again !

One reporter asked Trump in disbelief if he meant the remark literally or figuratively and Trump jumped right in there with his response--"I mean literarally." I wondered if he knew the difference.

Does Brand-R even have a replacement candidate ready to go?
The vacuum when he either drops out or gets fired?
