Victim Blaming

Trump Suggests Gretchen Carlson Should’ve Just ‘Found Another Career’

In newly published remarks, Donald Trump suggested to USA Today columnist Kirsten Powers that alleged victims of sexual harassment by former Fox News chief Roger Ailes should have just left the network. “I would like to think she would find another career or find another company if that was the case,” Trump told Powers in response to a question about how his daughter Ivanka would have reacted under similar alleged harassment by Roger Ailes or another employer. Ailes resigned from Fox News almost two weeks ago after former anchor Gretchen Carlson filed a lawsuit alleging repeated sexual harassment, and a subsequent investigation by 21st Century Fox reportedly found more female employees who have experienced such behavior.

Re: Victim Blaming

Kinda like when you get tired of one wife, you move on to another, eh, Donald?
We live in a disposable society, right?

Re: Victim Blaming

I guess that, if you are a woman, and you experience harassment while trying to work as a journalist at a major TV network, you should just give up your dreams and go work for a local TV station, or even get a job at a  dry cleaners.

Trump is the eternal flame of stupid, bigoted, misogynistic ideas.

Re: Victim Blaming

Incredibly, another Trump blames the victims.

Eric Trump: Ivanka would not allow herself to be sexually harassed

Washington (CNN)Eric Trump said Tuesday his sister Ivanka is "strong" and "powerful" and would never allow herself to be sexually harassed by her boss.

"Ivanka is a strong, powerful woman, she wouldn't allow herself to be [subjected] to it, and by the way, you should take it up with Human Resources, and I think she would as a strong person, at the same time, I don't think she would allow herself to be subjected to that," he told CBS's Charlie Rose on "CBS This Morning" while discussing former Fox News head Roger Ailes alleged sexual harassment of women employees.

Fox News host Megyn Kelly, who it's been reported was harassed years ago by Ailes, tweeted one word about Eric Trump's comments: "Sigh."

Re: Victim Blaming

Pardon the language but he should just stretch a condom over his noggin.

He is, without doubt, a dickhead.

I was married to a woman who was not only harassed but sexually assaulted at work (overnight stocking at Toys-R-Us).  The f*****g manager had the f*****g nerve to blame her for wearing a top that showed a slight bit of cleavage.

My stance on not hurting another person was sorely tested.

If you make yourself miserable trying to make others happy that means everyone is miserable.

Re: Victim Blaming

Let me see how things might work in Eric Trump's world.

Gretchen Carlson: "Mr. Ailes, I am a strong, powerful woman. Stop Sexually harassing me, and Stop threatening to destroy my career."

Ailes: "Okay, you got it."

Hey, I could see that working,,,,,,

Why can't we just treat people like people?
