DNC Thread

The Convention is upon us!

Tonight US Senator Elizabeth Warren speaks in the keynote spot!

Re: DNC Thread

I think the most eyes will be on Sanders speech especially given the DNC/Wasserman flap.

His is the one I want to catch to see the tone that is taken. I CERTAINLY do not expect anything like the Cruz fiasco at the RNC.

 Truly Bernie's Moment.
Let's hope that he does the right thing.

Re: DNC Thread

Sanders is hell-bent on Drump not getting elected so he will do everything in his power to prevent this from happening and , hopefully, his speech will help to calm down the DNC's stupid antics that we've seen so far.

The week is not off to a good start for the Dems

http://www.cnn.com/2016/07/22/politics/dnc-wikileaks-emails/index.html

(CNN)A meeting of Florida Democratic delegates descended into chaos when outgoing Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz took the stage Monday, with critics holding up signs with the word "Emails" and Bernie Sanders supporters booing the congresswoman loudly, even after she began speaking.

Re: DNC Thread

Debbie is a dead man walking.
Someone needs to get her out now.

Re: DNC Thread

I can't wait until Friday when the Dems have their balloon drop. I mean, the true success of these conventions is determined by the amount of hoopla they generate for the convention delegates, the candidates, the political operatives, TV viewers who are sick of re-runs and find the shoulder season replacement programming lame, and, most of all, the talking heads, contributors, political 'experts', and on-air personalities of cable 'news'.

While they all go crazy with interviews trying to dig up drama and dirt on their least favored party, we all know the real highlight of the convention is when it ends and all that sparkly red, white & blue debris rains down on the happy, unified, screaming participants below.

It will be interesting to see if the dem balloon drop equals or exceeds the repubs dump.

We need to change our election process to something shorter, less expensive, and more meaningful.

I will second that.

Re: DNC Thread

I had the fortune (or misfortune really) of meeting Cheri Honkala in a work related capacity.  At least this story is pretty funny:
