Why are you so worked up about this?
Well, since you apparently haven't read the threads very carefully, Tarnation has suggested in this thread and another, that these attacks are a feature of Ramadan. I happen to disagree. ISIS may urge attacks on the pretext of Ramadan (Next month they will use another pretext to try to get people to kill us). But I don't find it a traditional feature of Ramadan.
Got it, or should we go back and forth for a dozen more posts?I am not worked up about it, I just wanted to be clear on who you were responding to.
No need to go back and forth anymore, I am done discussing this with you and done discussing anything else with you.
That's rather petulant.
Well, I will survive the disappointment.

Sounds like the Obama administration!
2015 Ramadan attacksOn 26 June 2015, attacks occurred in France, Kuwait, Syria, Somalia, and Tunisia, one day following a deadly massacre in Syria. The day of attacks has been dubbed "Bloody Friday" by international media and "Black Friday" (French: Vendredi Noir) among Francophone media in Europe and North Africa.
Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant senior leader Abu Mohammad al-Adnani had released an audio message three days earlier encouraging militants everywhere to attack during the month of Ramadan.[12] ISIL also claimed responsibility for the attacks in Tunisia, Syria and Kuwait.ISIS' Ramadan terror campaign 2016
In the past several days, ISIS has conducted lethal suicide attacks in Jordan, Lebanon, Yemen, Bangladesh and also, very likely, in Turkey.Referring to Tuesday's suicide bombings at the Istanbul Ataturk Airport that killed dozens, a U.S. government official told me there is "no reason to think it isn't ISIS." The official also noted that the airport is "not a typical PKK target," using the initials of a Kurdish group that also has carried out a number of recent terrorist attacks in Turkey.
On Friday, ISIS did claim responsibility for an attack in a diplomatic area in the capital of Bangladesh that killed two police officers and injured 40.

As usual, CS, you completely miss the point.
I'm not talking about was ISIS encourages people to do, I'm talking about what the holiday traditionally is.
I would go thru it yet again, but I acknowledge that your misunderstanding is willful.
And there isn't much that one can do to overcome willful ignorance.

So, by the theory being advanced by some, I guess we can anticipate an end of attacks in three days?
We can expect a de-escalation, not an end.
The next uptick may occur during the month of the hajj , the pilgrimidge to Mecca which is one of the five pillars of Islam. Typically there is some Sunni vs. Shiite violence during that time, most often on the day of the "stoning the devil" ritual.
The hajj comes immediately after Ramadan.

NO as usual you spin. The question you asked was: "Is there any evidence that this is related to Ramadan ?"
The evidence is smacking you right in the face but you don't want to see it!
You are going back on your word to Lager! Shameful!

Let's dial down the melodrama.
Yes, I asked what attacks have do do with the Muslim holiday of Ramadan. Is the holiday one that traditionally involves violent acts on other groups? Does the faith describe the holiday in such away?
You misinterpreted the question. Willfully.
I haven't broken my word to Lager. I have called no names, and have not used obscenities.
I am speaking my mind, and will continue to do so politely.
When a poster is being less than totally honest, or engages in straw man fallacies I will take note of it.
This board can survive some frank and direct speech.

Good finds Common, thanks for sharing!
It sounds like ISIS is using Ramadan as an excuse for more violent attacks. As Rongone has pointed out, this is not the true meaning of Ramadan, but their perverted vision to justify violent attacks

Finally, we appear to have gotten there.
