Will a new party rise out of the ashes of the GOP ?

Maybe not a ridiculous question when it seems many big benefactors are either sitting on the sidelines or are begrudgingly being drawn into the fray.

It takes mega-bucks to mount a National campaign (unless you are a carnival barker so it would seem). Anyway, without the big bucks donors can the GOP as it exists today continue ??.

It is an interesting dilemma that they find themselves in. It is also one which they unwittingly created.

I think that a new GOP will arise. Hey, we can count on the Dems to over reach if nothing else.
Maybe this year the GOP will finally deal with the angry bigots in their midst and a more thoughtful conservative movement will arise.

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.
