Re: Will Trump drag down the GOP with him ?

Allah help us if this whole thing was just an ego boosting publicity stunt perpetrated by a totally unqualified, self absorbed, reality show host that just got carried away. A guy like Drumpf, whether expecting or surprised by the ride, cannot tear himself away from the thrill of the attention. The reality of the sideshow created by this carnival barker won't be realized until he's sitting behind a desk in the Oval Office. Then, unfortunately, will be too late to pass the buck, utter some shamefull epithet at someone, or avoid facing the fact of the serious weight of the office.

As the old saying goes: "Anything is easier to get into, than it is to get out of".

Can you imagine the frustration he would experience actually being a President?  -  Goose

Maybe he is beginning to realize that.  Democracy is not a good fit for authoritarians.

Re: Will Trump drag down the GOP with him ?

Good rant from Joe Scarborough today.
He feels that Trump has become so toxic that the day is fast approaching when he will no longer be able to put the gun of Hillary Clinton to the party's head.
They may begin to say, "fine, we would rather have her win one term rather than have you destroy the party, and maybe the country."

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

IMHO he has done a pretty good job of that already !
