    Johnson got about 1.2 million votes in 2012.
    Let's see if 2016 is a breakthrough year for him.
    If he gets enough votes to actually tip the scale in a few states, that would qualify as a major event.

    If voter discontent is ever going to create a third major party, (as opposed to some one and done phenomena like Perot) you would figure that this would be the year for it.
    We will see how much trouble the two major parties are really in come November.

    We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

    In case you missed it, you also hadthisat the Libertarian convention over the weekend......

    The Libertarian Party convention caught the attention of a lot of people this weekend, and not just because the party was choosing its presidential ticket.

    James Weeks, who was running to be the party chairman, took to the stage in Orlando and performed a striptease.

    Yes, a striptease.

    "We could use a little bit of fun," Weeks told the crowd as well as viewers tuned into C-SPAN, which broadcast the convention.

    Weeks played music on his phone as he took off his badges and encouraged the crowd to clap. Scattered cheers were the best he got -- and that was before it was clear what he was up to.

    Things went south pretty quickly when he removed his suspenders and tie. By the time he ripped his shirt off, the crowd erupted into loud boos.

    "Sorry, that was a dare," Weeks said. "I'm gonna go ahead and drop out."

    If Mr. Weeks is a Libertarian why would he do that?.... So darn strange.  Great choice to drop out of the party chairman race.
