Occupy DNC Convention
This page is to bring all Bernie Sanders supporters together at the DNC Convention to fight for the will of the people (Bernie Sanders’s nomination) — not a fraudulent Hillary nomination. Our massive numbers in a peaceful alliance will tell the story.
Join us. We have permits for marching, rallies and festivities each day of the convention and have created a site to organize together — with state pages to sign up for ride and house sharing to/in Philly, ways to volunteer prior to and in Philly, calendar of events for the convention week, etc. Join us in our making of history.

Why so many questions?
Looks like Hillary will have a bit of trouble at the convention.
Sanders supporters are upset that Hillary has taken so much money from Wall Street.
It seems she has sold out the working woman/man.

I am trying to understand why you are urging people to do this.
Why so much reluctance to be frank?

Common, this is not a personal attack, but I want you to grasp a concept here ..............
The message and vision of Bernie Sanders is what drew me to him, not him personally. The message is more important than the man. Sure, Bernie supporters will show up at the convention and it's Bernie's message that will bring them there. The movement he started will live on after he is gone from the picture.
Political revolutions occur over time, not at the snap of a finger. As far as I'm concerned, Bernie has already had an impact, an impact that will continue to grow after Hillary Clinton is elected. Myself, Bernie, and his supporters will be watching and pushing his agenda. We won't just walk away thinking everything is fine. That's what authoritarian followers do.
Am I making myself clear?

I am old enough to remember the 2000 Republican National Convention in Philadelphia when there were marches that shut down Center City streets and the "protest cages" outside the Wells Fargo Center.
There will be protests in Cleveland and protests in Philadelphia and one can only imagine the protests and general mayhem we'll see during Trump rallies as we get closer to November.
This is America. We protest, if we're so inclined. It's our national birthright.
No big deal.

BTW, the "will of the people" are about 3 Million votes short of being the real will of the people.
Also, FiveThirtyEight had an excellent article about ......
