Sanders to DNC: Remove Clinton backers from convention committees

I guess the DNC still isn't "Feeling the Bern".  And Bernie isn't feeling any love from them

Good luck with that, Bernie.

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

I can only presume Bernie is doing this because he thinks it is the only way to get his positions included as much as possible.  But you have to wonder at what cost this is having for Clinton against Trump.  It won't do much good if this feud drives some of his supporters to stay home or vote for Trump, then none of his platform gets implemented.

Does the platform mean anything the day after the convention closes?

I don't really think so.  Which makes me wonder what he thinks he is accomplishing by doing this.

Thoughts?

He is being destructive to even his own interests, in my opinion.
The platform is a bit of an anachronism. Few people familiarize themselves with it. Heck, I'm a democratic and a political junkie, and I won't be reading it.. Clinton, and every senator, Rep, or governor running is free to, and will, distance himself from any part of the platform that doesn't help him win his own race in November.

By continuing to antagonize the probable nominee, Sanders gains nothing. Sure, he can make noise and get them to go along with some platform language. But the cost is prohibitive. Sanders has driven Clinton to the left with a strong primary run. He keeps her there by now building a relationship and showing her that it benefits her campaign and the American people.
Continuing hostility gains him little. And if he weakens her to the point where Trump wins, Sanders comes away completely empty-handed policy-wise. Politics is a team sport.

I would NOT want to be remembered as the person that helped Trump to the Presidency !
