Might be the Obama's new home after the White House............
Obamas To Lease 9-Bedroom Mansion In Posh DC Neighborhood
Real estate circles buzzed Wednesday over reports that President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, have decided to lease a nine-bedroom mansion in one of Washington’s poshest neighborhoods when he leaves office in January.
With a sprawling terrace and a castle-like exterior, the home sits on a quarter-acre lot just down the road from the Naval Observatory, the vice president’s official residence, in the wealthy Kalorama neighborhood near Embassy Row. A 2011 remodel brought the total number of bathrooms to eight-and-a-half, along with three fireplaces and an “au pair suite,” spread out over roughly 8,200 square feet, according to real estate data. It features parking for up to 10 cars.

Yea, the Obamas said that they were going to remain in Washington after the election so that their daughter wouldn't have to change schools.
Free country.

Common,
Are you insinuating they don't deserve to live in such a house?
Sheesh . . . If you lived on the block, you'd be the first to say "there goes the neighborhood".

Angry folks? Why?
Rongone your last comment is despicably nasty! My bet is Obama would be a fun guy to have as a neighbor just not the president with wrong headed policies his administration has pushed.
I think it's fine that Obama is staying in Washington so his younger daughter can finish school.
Changing school for a child midstream is very hard. Kudos for them letting her stay in the familiar school.
Next I have absolutely NO problem with them renting the house in Washington!

...........wrong headed policies his administration has pushed.
Like what? I've got a problem with TPP and not pushing harder for a public option or medicare-for-all, but not much else. What wrong headed polices do you object to?

Well, in all fairness, Fred, Obama did outlaw all guns, and caused the decline of the coal industry.

Blanket statements are easy to say, don't need justification, and make the speaker feel good about themself. Almost like they proved something.

I agree that it is a good thing he is staying in the DC area for his daughter, it is great that he is putting family first.
I also agree that the tone of some of the responses was pretty nasty, and for no reason. We have been doing well with keeping the tone of the discussions pleasant, let's try and keep it that way.

Why was the subject even posted?
Was there a purpose, or agenda?

Sorry Brady, but the incessant posting of low ball articles that the poster initiates for the sole purpose of continual criticism without expressing the personal reasons or thoughts on content gets old real quick. Then, when somebody comments on the post they get called names or add another little dig at the subject of the article or the respondent. Then they have the audacity to cower in their own indignity and try their best to act like a martyr. Sometimes that just doesn't play. If you post something, you should be willing to defend the contents of that posting with your own perspective. A copied article that is posted shouldn't be a vehicle just to stir up a hornet's nest and then cry "foul". People that choose to post in this manner are not immune to question or criticism as well as the people who question or offer a rebuttal to the posting are not intimidating ogres. I thought we covered this subject already.
Have an Irie day.
