State Dept IG Finds Hillary Clinton Violated Government Records Act

The State Department Inspector General (Appointed by Obama) released a report on Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server while serving as secretary of state. For the last year Clinton and her campaign said her use of the server was allowed. That was their spin. Now the truth has come out. And add that Classified information was put in a high risk situation.

Clinton refused to be interview by the State Department Inspector General regarding the private email server issue!

Re: State Dept IG Finds Hillary Clinton Violated Government Records Act

From the OIG report:

"What OIG Evaluated"
"As part of ongoing efforts to respond to requests from the current Secretary of State and several Members of Congress, the Office of Instpector General (OIG) reviewed records management requirements and policies regarding the use of non-Departmental communications systems. The scope of tis evaluation covers the Office of the Secretary, specifically the tenures of Secretaries of State Madeleine Albright, Colin Powell, Condoleezza Rice, Hillary Clinton, and John Kerry."

"What OIG Recommends"
"OIG makes eight recommendations. They include issuing enhanced and more frequent guidance on the permissible use of personal email accounts to conduct official business, amending Departmental policies to provide for administration penalties for failure to comply with records preservation and cyber security requirements, and developing a quality assurance plan to address vulnerabilities in records management and preservation. The Department concurred with all of OIG's recommendations."

"As in the case throughout the Federal Government, management weaknesses at the Department to the loss or removal of email records, particularly records created by the Office of the Secretary. These weaknesses include a limited ability to retrieve email records, inaccessibility of electronic files, failure to comply with requirements for departing employees, and a general lack of oversight.
"

So, one could conclude from the OIG's report that their findings cast responsibility and blame for transgressions with handling, preservation, and vulnerabilities in the security of electronic communications lies with lax management, limited guidelines, and inability to enforce compliance on employees. This investigation encompassed over a 20 year period, 5 Secretaries of State, was requested by the Secretary of State, and the State Department concurred with their findings. The OIG report indicates that shortcomings found in the Department of State with regard to management of electronic communications are similar to those found throughout various departments writhing the federal government. This is obvious when one understands that many departments (including the IRS, DOD, and the VA) are still using systems that feature 1980's technology like sharing information through the use of floppy discs. It is an overall indictment of the methodology, regulation, and enforcement of compliance with up-to-date guidelines with regard to electronic communications.

Oh yeah . . . and it mentions Hillary Clinton's indiscretions in handling her emails, as well as several other individuals.

Re: State Dept IG Finds Hillary Clinton Violated Government Records Act

Ok, let's go for it, what the hell, haul 'em all in ............ Albright, Powell, Rice, Clinton, and Kerry.  Form congressional committees, special committees, and sub-committees in both houses of congress.  No holds barred.  Spend all the time and money they need to investigate every one of them.  Sift through hundreds of thousands of pages of emails and get to the bottom of this.

Congress has nothing else to do anyway.  The economy is solid, employment is nearing 100%, the wage gap is shrinking, higher education is becoming more accessible to anyone with the desire to go to school, our healthcare system is great, our trade policies are solid, our infrastructure is improving day by day, gun violence isn't a problem anymore, and we're finally moving toward sustainable energy sources so climate change issues are disappearing from the planet.

Yes, yes, yes, let's grill the hell out of these 5 anti-American pseudo-patriots and if guilty, throw 'em all in jail.

Her use of the server definitely was not allowed and approved, as she initially claimed.  Should we really be shocked that Hillary lied?

I just don't see how anybody can trust a thing that comes out of her mouth.

Well, if you are looking for a politician that you can completely trust, I guess that you are sitting this century out.

Exactly !

I understand peoples problems with Hillary but as I look at it from a financial and security standpoint (even the honesty issue) I cannot EVER vote for Trump and unless a third party comes along that could win it all that leave me little choice. Also, I don't have the visceral hate that some have for her.

Re: State Dept IG Finds Hillary Clinton Violated Government Records Act

Like I said ............ Bring 'em all in!  If this is so freakin' important to our national security, then Albright, Rice, Powell, and Kerry should get the same treatment, too.  Why single out one individual and let the others off the hook?  Grill them all!

We need a 'special committee'.  Put John McCain in charge.
