Once again thugs who want to stop people from attending a political rally cause mayhem in the streets of downtown Albuquerque! More lawless behavior!
Trump protesters smash door, break through barriers
Protesters lit fires, smashed a door and threw rocks outside a Donald Trump rally Tuesday night in New Mexico -- the latest scuffle to follow the presumptive Republican nominee's campaign.The scene outside Albuquerque's convention center was chaotic as police ushered protesters away from Trump's event and into the nearby streets.
There, anti-Trump protesters -- many critical of his positions on immigration -- loudly chanted, "F*** Donald Trump."The protesters had broken a glass door to the convention center. Some taunted police and jumped on police vehicles as officers in riot gear and on police horses moved them away from the convention center's exits.Trump had already left the event.
"Albuquerque attorney Doug Antoon said rocks were flying through the convention center windows as he was leaving Tuesday night. Glass was breaking and landing near his feet."This was not a protest, this was a riot. These are hate groups," he said of the demonstrators."
“We hold these truths to be self-evident,” former vice president Biden said during a campaign event in Texas on Monday. "All men and women created by — you know, you know, the thing.”

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

I agree that violence should not be condoned anywhere.
That said, a "uniter" Mr Trump is not by any stretch of the imagination !

I was thinking about that "uniter" crap, too, Tenny. Seems like alot of people really don't like this guy.

I think we are going to see more of these type events leading up to the election in November.
I wonder how many independent view this, whether they blame Trump for this or look at the protestors and think Trump has a reason to deport illegal immigrants. You have to wonder if the actions of the protesters may backfire and cause more people to back Trump.

Fred,
I mean actual indepenents, not someone who leans politically to the left or right. You may not be aligned with a party, but you are a progressive who leans way left.
When I say independent, I am talking about someone who actually is a moderate voter who is likely to vote for both Republican and Democratic candidates

I don't know of anyone, with the possible exception of Donald Trump who suggested that the protestors are illegal immigrants.
We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.
