I would be curious though of the people who support Trump and don't want Hillary, just what of her stances that they think would be worse than Trump and or conversely what positions (IF you can pin them down) that he espouses that makes him better.

I have pretty much stated here and elsewhere those things specifically I think disqualify Trump so I won't repeat them.

I don't support Trump, but will vote for him over Clinton. Why? Because Trump is an unknown. I'll take my chances with an unknown over Hillary Clinton. I know what we would get with Clinton, and it's not what I want. If in four years Trump is bad, we vote him out.

I think a LOT of people support Trump for the same reason, rightly or wrongly.

I AM curious, however, just what specifically you think we will get with Clinton that is not what you want. I really don't myself see her as being too much different than previous Presidents Obama, Bush, or Clinton (and perhaps that IS what you don't like).

I will give you that Trump is an unknown. His positions are all over the place and some change day to day.

Re: Still Feelin' the Bern

Donald Trump has been running for president for almost exactly a year now. He has been giving widely covered speeches on a daily basis.

That fact that trump can be described as an "unknown" - and I agree that he can - is truly remarkable, and sad under the circumstances. He is all over the place ideologically, and totally inconsistent. His views on policy change with the wind.

The fact that this can be considered a reason to vote for him is, frankly, terrifying.

I think that many voters on the right have just been conditioned over the years to hate Clinton above all else.

Re: Still Feelin' the Bern

Wake up people there is NO reason not to vote for Clinton!
Right.......   You have been conditioned to just "hate" her for absolutely no reason!
Just ask anyone on the left and if you are not voting for her you MUST hate her!!
You terrible, nasty and bad I won't vote for Clinton hater!
Now go stand in the corner!

NOTE: All the Bernie voters who would not vote for Clinton... You can not be against Clinton because you are not republicans/right! Only republicans/right would vote against Clinton.

Re: Still Feelin' the Bern

No need to be hostile.

I wrote "many", not "all", not "the majority".

Instead, please articulate, ( with words please) as Tennyson has suggested, your reasoning.
I think that the group would get more out of that, than they would with the over the top stuff.
Thanks

Not hostile at all!
Just responding to your statement: "I think that many voters on the right have just been conditioned over the years to hate Clinton above all else."

I just pointed out there are Bernie voters who will not vote for Clinton! I think they would be considered left leaning?

The fact that there are Sanders voters who will not vote for Clinton in no way contradicts my statement about what voters on the right think..
Your response is a non sequitur. Nonsensical, actually.

When I speak with trump supporters, I typically see the responses here,,,,, little to nothing on policy. They just blurt out "emails", or "Benghazi" and make faces. In other words, they just hate Hillary. Just as I observed.

Re: Still Feelin' the Bern

Jumping around here, but the main thing for me is that I'm a progressive and I'm feelin' the Bern.  However, if and when Bernie is done, then I need to go with my positions on issues.  Is Clinton as progressive as Bernie?  No, but closer to my nature as a progressive vs Trump.

Who's more likely to adopt some of Bernie's ideas and vision?  Clinton or Trump?  For me, the answer is obvious and clear.  I'm not angry or pissed at anyone.

It seems like when push comes to shove that most Trump supporters cannot articulate what specific policies of Trumps that will "make America Great again". I agree he is all over the place. This will NOT be good for the markets which like stability (or our allies). Some of his endorsements (ie the recent NRA) are a joke considering his past stances on guns. This is the nuttiest election that I can remember in a long time.

I may not agree with Clinton on some stances but at least I know where she stands. Trump is what we used to call in the military a "loose cannon".
