I'm happy that summer is a bit tardy.
In DC for my daughter's graduation and looking forward to not being uncomfortably hot for the first visit ever!
We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

Can't we just have a nice, breezy 75 degree summer? Pleeeeeeeeze?
We didn't have much of a winter. The weather gods owe me. 
If you make yourself miserable trying to make others happy that means everyone is miserable.

You call the January blizzard "not much of a winter"? I know you're not from Buffalo!
The misty gray days can get depressing but the bright side is that we've had dogwood in bloom for four weeks and azaleas headed the same way. So many years they bloom, them a couple of 80+ degree days and the leaves push out. We've had a "real" spring this year, just shifted later than what we've grown accustomed to.

Well, let's hope we are NOT "much above normal" --- normal would be just fine !
