As of now it looks like BOTH the R and D tribe are having problems with their bases being not in sync with what were considered the mainstream contenders. Does anyone remember any past elections that this was the case ? I can not.
Also what do you think this means for both the GOP and Democrats and their platforms going forward.
Obviously there are a lot of people out there dissatisfied with the current crop of people in power now. Do you think this will ripple down to replacing a lot of people in Congress as well ?

Man, I hope so. The best way to invoke change is through our elected legislative reps. Unfortunately, the average voter pays less attention to these races. That's why 90% of these bozos get re-elected.

Unfortunately that is correct.
I understand that there will and can be wide differences of opinion on many decisions about how to run our government, BUT without reps that can at least compromise and move the ball forward rather than just relying on political gridlock to secure their jobs we will be stuck with the bozos until the voting public elects representatives willing to actually DO SOMETHING.
