Oscar de la Hoya details how he saw Donald Trump cheat at golf
Boxing champion Oscar De La Hoya is an avid golfer, and he's one to play by the book -- something that will no doubt bring a smile to the faces at USGA headquarters.
Imagine, then, De La Hoya's shock when he played a few holes of golf in 2014 with presumptive Republican presidential nominee and golf real estate mogul Donald Trump at his Trump National Los Angeles course.
“I was teeing on the first hole and next thing I know here comes a golf cart. It’s Donald Trump: ‘Oscar, can I play with you?’," De La Hoya explained, saying he told Trump that it was his property, so of course.
The Golden Boy said Trump hit four balls off the first tee: The first found a water hazard, then pulled another left out of bounds, a third into the water and then a fourth into the bushes. According to De La Hoya, Trump said he was just warming up, although that's a generous two balls more than the typical two-off-the-first okie-dokie on the first tee.
After four balls, Trump still hadn't found a safe lie. However, since Trump went first, he hopped in his cart, went down to the middle of the fairway and said he'd found his ball right down Broadway.
Quoting Trump, De La Hoya recalled he said, “By the way, I found my first ball, it’s right here.”
“We’re like, ‘OK, yeah,’ we’re cracking up, not in front of his face,” De La Hoya continued.
On another hole, Trump's tee shot at a 170-yard par 3 went out of bounds. The boxer was sure of it. Again, Trump drove off in the cart first, went toward the green and said he found his ball.
“We get up there [to the green] and he’s like, ‘Oh, my ball’s right here!’ Three feet away. ‘And by the way, I’m going to pick it up, it’s a gimme,’” he said.
Obviously offended, De La Hoya isn't interested in voting for Trump.
He said, “I’m not [voting] for someone who cheats in golf.”
I've played with several guys like that . . . but none of them were running for president of the United States . . . maybe for school board, but not POTUS.

Yes you are right there will be many compelling stories coming out. We know what a great job the
media is doing. I am not saying Trump cheated or not but found articles about Pro's cheating....
I don't play golf so I know little about it other than to me it's beyond boring.
How Common Is Cheating In Professional Golf?
To hear John Huggan tell it, it’s pretty common:
You may not want to hear this, but golf at every level is rife with cheating. Well, OK, rife may be too strong a word. But it’s out there, at every level of the game up to and including the professional level, where the temptation to transgress is obviously increased by the often huge financial rewards available. You’ll never read the names of those involved though. Officialdom doesn’t want you to know who they are (and the legal implications of publicly exposing the culprits don’t help either). Some, in fact, are really quite famous. One multiple major champion, by way of example, is a notorious cheat and the subject of any number of head-shaking locker room tales. Ryder Cup players are not immune either. At least one is tainted forever by his serial cheating. And there are others, many of whom have won events through the most dubious of methods.

Even the glowing endorsements from some of Trump's sport endorsements have been looked on in a negative rather than positive way.!

Willie Nelson also owns a golf course in Pedernales, TX and, as the owner, he also has been known to make up some local rules. In one round reputedly with a Sports Illustrated reporter, the reporter asked Willie what the par was on the hole as they were on the tee. Willie told the guy that par on many holes varied. He said: "For instance, on this hole the par is 10, and yesterday I birdied the hole."
Other rules on Nelson's Cut 'n Putt, as the course is also known are things like: no more than 12 people in a foursome, and no skimpy clothes, bikinis, see through or exploitive clothing allowed unless you are a woman.
Somehow I think playing with Willie on his golf course and bending some rules would be a little more fun than playing with Drumpf on one of his classy, manicured, luxurious courses and having to play by his rules. But, that's just me.

Well, the Foxy 'News' people like to remind us about how often Obama spends time on the golf course. I'm sure they will do the same if the Trumpster is elected, too.

I am not a fan of Trump, but this is meaningless. All I can picture is Trump as Judge Smails from Caddyshack kicking the ball out from underneath the tree.
There are so many things that can be discussed about the character of both Trump and Clinton, and we are talking about golf? Golf?
