I think we all knew Trump would win this race. It's over now...Cruz and Kasich need to drop out today.
There will not be a contested convention!
Trump wins Indiana, clearing path to nomination
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is projected to win the Indiana primary, dealing a crushing defeat to Ted Cruz and putting himself on a clear path to clinching the nomination. Trump’s victory will guarantee him at least 30 of the state’s 57 delegates, pushing him over 1,000 as he approaches the 1,237 he needs to clinch the nomination.
The remaining 27 delegates will be allocated in winner-take-all contests at the congressional district level. Trump is likely to take a majority of these. The results are devastating for Cruz and John Kasich — and the anti-Trump movement.
On the Dem side at 8:00 PM :
SANDERS 50.9% CLINTON 49.1%

Cruz dropped out, Trump will be the nominee.
This is a sad and pathetic day for America. I can never vote for Trump, he is a classless, crude, narcissistic sycophant.
I truly hope someone one else runs for the Presidency as a third party candidate.

It will be an interesting morning. The press will have to discover the next "story".
They have been selling this contested convention story long after it was clear to anyone who could look at polls throughout the northeast and California that it was a fantasy.
Now the stage is set. Personally, I am very comfortable with supporting Clinton. I'm tempted to just mention Trump's complete unfitness for the office, and leave it at that. But Clinton's seriousness, her experience, her stand on wages, foreign policy, the environment, and foreign policy make me eager to support her in the fall

There won't be a third party party run so I guess you can vote for Hillary or Bernie?
4 more years of Obama policies........... just what the country needs.

I agree. Clinton is the wise choice.
Let's face it. There will likely be no other possibilities come November.

As a Bernie fan for several years now, I feel he's already had an impact. He began something like 60 or 70 points down to Clinton. She's already moved closer to the left as Sanders gained support and momentum. I, too, will vote for her over Trump if she is the nominee.

My response:
At this point, there isn't any way I would vote for Hillary or Bernie for President either. Bernie's policies are too socialistic for me and who really knows what Hillary's policies are, as that all depends on what she thinks will best help her get elected. Also, I believe her to be completely untrustworthy.
Fred, what makes you believe that Hillary will actually keep the same policies during the general election as she espoused during the primary. She only moved left because she thought she needed to in order to beat Bernie. Did you see the story this week about mining jobs? Last month she said "we're going to put a lot of coal miners and coal companies out of business". When confronted by a miner this week about this statement, she claimed she was misunderstood and taken out of context. She has a proven track record of saying or doing whatever it takes to get elected

So now the clown car that started out with 17 buffoons tumbling about and squawking like a bunch of laughing gulls on the beach clamoring for attention is basically down to one loudmouth. In the end, it looks like the loudest and most abrasive clown has survived the three ring circus that has been the republican primary race. Now we will begin hearing about the healing, coming together, and unifying the fractured party, turning all their insults and unverified partisan rhetoric against the democratic candidates. Drumpf even started praising "lying Ted" for his competitive nature in the race. C'mon . . . The name calling, junior high bullying, and outright denigration of others that was more evident in this campaign than any other I have witnessed will not be that easily forgotten or overlooked. This republican primary took negativism in campaign tactics to the lowest point ever, and Drumpf was the major perpetrator of the nastiness. To have this guy as the representative of a major party for president of the United States is a clear sign of the decline of our representative republic. If this guy is elected president, he will be an embarrassment and our standing in the world community will diminish.
I feel so badly about this situation that I've started an organization and plan on a Facebook page to help crushed candidates recover their dignity. The first recipient: "Feelin' Sorry for Carly", that I'll be working on when I have absolutely nothing else to do.
