Towson, Maryland (CNN)
The map weaves from hardscrabble downstate Delaware to heavily Catholic Rhode Island to tiny Fairfield County boating towns on the waterfront of Long Island Sound.
Not exactly Cruz Country.

There is no way Cruz can get to the magic number. His poor showing in NY really hurt him at this point in the competition.
Still, I expect neither Cruz or Kasich to bow out which should still make for a heated ands contentiou convention.

Is Cruz cooked? No. He was never going to do well in the Northeast, I-95 corridor. This doesn't change much in regards to the convention and Republican nomination.
I would argue Sanders had the worse night last night, just a week or so ago he thought he might have a chnace to win NY, instead he got crushed. Bernie is done.

Bernie might be done as a candidate, Brady, but the movement he started lives on. His impact won't go away.

The Donald talks about "lying Ted Cruz" and "crooked Hillary". Looks like Trump is the R-Tribe choice to carry the flag into the political battle in November as their choice. We shall see what happens.

And I think it will be fascinating how all this unfolds. Bernie has started attacking Hillary recently, will this continue or will he make nice? Can Hillary get Bernie's supporters to vote for her? Will some vote for Trump if he is the nominee or will some of Bernie's supporters stay home in the general election?

I don't think Trump is necessarily the choice for the Republicans, there is a good chance he doesn't get the delegates needed and this goes to the convention, where anything can happen.
It does look like Hillary is almost guaranteed to be the Democratic nominee.

Cruz told a WGAL-TV reporter there's no way he can get enough delegates and that he's ready for a contested convention.

This has been a truly horrible campaign season. All I can think to myself is "Are these the best candidates we can come up with?"
Frankly, none of them would make a good President.

Yep. These candidates are no more qualified to be president than any other person on the street. Where are our true statesmen & women? The Kennedy types who may have already made sacrifices for their country and are now prepared to lead us and the free world? What has happened to the people of the U. S. that we cannot produce well-respected individuals who are prepared to serve?
