Ikea accused of dodging $1.1 billion in taxes

The notion of big business using loopholes to dodge taxes is certainly NOT just an American taxing system phenomena as this report about IKEA doing business in the European Union.

Re: Ikea accused of dodging $1.1 billion in taxes

They encountered great difficulty in putting together a solid financial plan. In the end they had a couple of extra pieces of cash left over. So, rather than throwing them out, they put the extras in a bag and stashed them in a place for safe keeping . . . in case they needed them later to rebuild.

What's wrong with that? It's a business plan that has served IKEA well for years.
