I don't actually blame the attorney. Our system requires that all people (scum or not) get the best legal advice that they can get. Ben might be a schmuck, I don't know. But Martin CERTAINLY IS !

My youngest daughter is an attorney, and I'd ask her to turn in her card if she accepted representation of this scumbag.

Well, if there were no criminal defense attorneys, that would certainly not wind up being a good thing no matter what you believe in how to decide who deserves a defense. In THIS particular case, the advice given the defendant actually gave more critical attention to this case and the overall issue and whether Martin gets convicted or not, the damage has been done to companies which may be the ultimate good outcome. Public outcry has been overwhelming. Martin at this point in time is likely the most "hated man in America". The outcome of his fraud case will likely not have depended upon his testimony or not. Martin currently is a pariah to any drug company that he might try to align with in the future. In addition has net assets have plummeted (no one will shed a tear) and his day of infamy is coming to an abrupt end. He may not be smirking for too much longer.
