I was a republican until 2008 and I respect them

I was referring to your statement where you said " I would not say the NYT deserves no respect", making it seem as if I said that, and that is clearly not what I said.

I did not state that you believed that the NYT did not deserve respect.
I was responding to your statement that Most republicans have little or no respect for the NYT.
I think that I was clear in that.
If it was confusing, I apologize.

Who owns the NYT anyway? A liberal or a conservative leaning group of rascally politically-minded people anyway?

Oh god, not this again.
Common, lay off with the personal attacks.
Goose, (and all mods), please limit post deletions to bad language, nudity, and really over the top attacks.
Thanks,
You pal Lager.
On topic for a sec, this NYT endorsement could really help in New Hampshire. If Kasich can't pull off a 2nd or very strong 3rd, he won't make it to S. Carolina.

The NYT enjoys wide circulation throughout New England.
No one should casually dismiss or ridicule this endorsement as has been done here on the Exchange. They are falling prey to convenient cliches'.
This endorsement is a real story in the region, even if uberconservatives in Dixie and Pennsyltuckey roll their eyes.
The republican party is, and should be more than a party of the south and mountain west.
(Don't look now, but I have a republican governor here in Massachusetts)
Eastern republicans frankly are really PO'd about the disdain heaped upon them by the southern part of the party.
