Probably a Good Idea
Facebook is changing its policies to ban users from arranging the private sale of guns on both Facebook and Instagram.
The new rules, first reported Friday, are stricter than Facebook's previous stance on gun sales, which allowed users to arrange such sales under some restrictions as long as they did not use Facebook ads.
The ban on person-to-person firearm sales comes after pressure from the Obama administration, state attorneys general and gun safety advocates, NPR's Laura Sydell reported for our Newscast unit.
"Facebook has never been directly involved in gun selling, but it has been a place where buyers and sellers have negotiated sales," she explains.
The site has long banned the sale of marijuana, pharmaceuticals and illegal drugs: Now guns will be included on the list of prohibited items.

Seems like a commonsense precaution.
We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

Good to know who will stand with you and who won't. Curious thing, there are no laws being broken but they have decided to ban something that is legal? Why pressure from the White House! In the scheme of things it really does not matter.
There are plenty of places to shop on line!
Here is a small sample.

So they now ban legal items also. Just because they don't like them!
They are heading down a dangerous road. Wonder what the Trump White House will decide about things on Facebook? Hey it's legal but we don't like them!

Facebook is not a government agency.
They have no obligation to sell guns anymore than a restaurant is obligated to sell hammers.

I have told you at least 20 times what I would do!
But stopping a legal transaction is not one of them.

You don't seem to understand what a "ban" is.
FB is private entity, and they have decided not to engage in this business.
Start your own FB if you like and sell whatever you wish with the law.
