Whoa Nellie!

The New York Times reports that Michael Bloomberg is exploring an independent bid for the Presidency.

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

Re: Whoa Nellie!

Hillary just had a stroke!  First Bernie and now Bloomy......

“We hold these truths to be self-evident,”  former vice president Biden said during a campaign event in Texas on Monday. "All men and women created by — you know, you know, the thing.”

Re: Whoa Nellie!

This could be a very interesting year.
Personally, I'd love to have three, maybe even four viable candidates in November.
It would be historic.

Re: Whoa Nellie!

The more the merrier. What tribe does Bloomberg belong to, anyway?  I guess he would take a run at it as an independent?

Re: Whoa Nellie!

Yes indeed.

For the last 25 years or so BOTH party establishments have tried to achieve political success, not by solving problems, but by exploiting wedge issues for votes.

So, while we have been at each others' throats on culture war issues middle class wages have stagnated, infrastructure has crumbled, and tens of thousands of young Americans have either been killed or maimed in disastrous wars.

In a way, I can get behind the a plague on both your houses movement that is afoot.
I'd only say that there are those who will exploit our frustration for their own ends.
I can see Sanders and Bloomberg, but not that fascist.
Rebel, sure. But rebel wisely.
