This is excellent.  IMHO at least 50% of information posted somewhere on the internet is an outright lie, falsified in some manner or is "Trumpified.  I decided such writings now come under this new word I just coined.

Of course, evaluating sources when we leave academic writing and enter politics/current events is an entirely different thing.

You should to be entirely honest with yourself as to your goals when doing such reading.
Are you looking for enlightenment or entertainment? Are you looking to be challenged, or for affirmation of what you already believe?
To thine own self be true!
