We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

Re: Simplest Roast Chicken

Yours sound delish and easy but when I want to eat a whole cooked chicken I take the easier way out and buy a rotisserie chicken from Sam's club for $5 and they are mighty tasty. It's difficult to find a whole chicken under 5 bucks to cook these days.

Re: Simplest Roast Chicken

The Purdue bake-in-bag bird is excellent.   I usually do at least one every winter on a weekend.

Not next weekend, though:   Loganville Fire Company will resume its monthly great chicken barbeque.   1/2 chicken, baked potato, applesauce, roll & butter and  cupcake fo $7.50; half chicken for $4.50, 1/2 chicken and potato for $5.50.   Call 428-3668 on Saturday morning to reserve for take out or eat-in.   Many months become sold out be 11 AM.  Pick up is 11 AM - 3 PM.
