Congressman Gowdy tells it like it is.
Gowdy Discusses President Obama's Plan for Executive Action on Gun Control with Wolf Blitzer

They always seem to avoid addressing the fact that almost universally Americans support expanded background checks.
Sure, I expect most would agree also that let's get tougher on crimes committed with guns. I agree with that, but I also agree as a gun owner that we need a lot more restrictions on types of equipment that is legal to use as a citizen (I recently document a legal mechanism in another topic that makes AR-15 effectively an automatic weapon as just one example).
All this represents is the current Republican talking points. Trump's rise is a testament to the fact that many are tired of the standard R vs D clap-trap.

Gowdy.
Isn't he the guy who is holding the 14th set of Benghazi hearings?

Good ole hair trigger Trey.
He tells it for sure . . . Maybe not like it is, but as with any politician, he sure does talk a lot. Mostly, as Tennyson pointed out, it's the standard party line rhetoric. I wonder how he found time to appear on the network with all the Benghazi hearings, and now the campaigning for Rubio. Heck, he may get laryngitis with all that talking on his plate.
Hey, too bad he didn't have Ben Carson with him that day outside the church when the woman pulled a knife on him. According to the stories Ben is telling, he would have known how to handle that type of situation. Or, maybe the new conservative strategy is to see who can tell the most radical street tough made up story of their youth to show how knowledgeable they are about hard times growing up with crime rampant in their neighborhood streets. I'll bet Trey has a couple of teardrop tattoos at the corner of his eye.
Spare me the fantasies.
