I really tried to watch this fiasco three different times tonight but I mostly heard Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama bashings and no substantive plans for anything from any candidate. If they weren't bashing they were fighting amongst themselves. Donald Trump's behavior is despicable.

You know, I wasn't even tempted.

Well, in a nutshell, with the exception of maybe Rand Paul, it looks like the plan is to inject more money into the military-industrial-complex and bomb everybody, while Chistie would shoot down Russian planes.

I did not watch the free-for-all they try to pass off as a debate, but your description reminds me of something. Part of my career was heavily immersed in materials management, which included meeting with and negotiating with vendors for direct & indirect materials, domestic and international transportation, etc. One rule I came to follow through this experience was that if a prospective vendor's salesperson's pitch was basically to tear down their competition, and was unable to articulate the strength of their own product, they weren't worth dealing with or buying from. I even used to tell them that when I would press them to tell me about quality, value, and strength of their product, and their response was a negative comment about a competitor.
I feel the same way about politicians.

I think your observations are spot-on, rongone.

I tuned in a for a little bit of both the second tier debate and the main event. Seemed like more of the same. A couple of takeaways.....
Ben Carson seems to be slowly sliding out of the race.
This San Bernardino shooting was the best thing to happen to republicans because it allows them to tell in gory detail how they'll continuously murder people.
Lindsay Graham is a really likeable person and probably passed his Sec of Defense interview (should Rubio win)
Foreign policy isn't John Kasich's strong suit
Carly Fiorina is a broken record who is bereft of ideas and needs to move on.
I put the odds of Jeb Bush taking a swing at Trump by the end of the campaign at 75-1, down from 200-1 a month ago.
Rubio will be the GOP nominee.
