This is the last person in the world to be talking about "love", how people are brought up and other values considering the shameful, sordid  spectacle he made by moving his mistress into the govornor's mansion while his wife and children lived there.   We won't soon forget that.

Isn't there anyone around him that will tell him to STFU?  If there was, he probably wouldn't listen anyway.  Such an egomaniac....

So, Rudy says: "He wasn't brought up the way you were brought up and I was brought up through love of this country."

Whatever that means. But later, trying to explain away his stupid statement says:
"He was brought up by a white mother, a white grandfather, went to white schools, and most of this he learned from white people."

Aside from the fact that the second statement is blatantly racist, it seems to contradict the first statement. Either Rudy was brought up in an African-American household and neighborhood, or he has dug himself a hole he can't get out of, but just doesn't realize it yet.

It would probably blow away, Common, but it seems Rudy keeps surfacing and doing a pretty good job stirring new pots by himself everyday.

My sentiments exactly. The only person stoking the fire is really Rudy himself. It would have been easy to back out of this statement, but he is the one continuing to pour gas on the fire. 



 

I would disagree, Azalea. RG is the former mayor of one of the country's most preeminent cities. He bacame a national icon after 911. When RG says something outrageous about the President of the United States, it is news. I know that the current state of the media is going to ride this thing for all it's worth. That's the way it is.

But, before condemning the media, I will direct my ire at the guy who made the outrageous remarks rather than the guys reporting on the outrageous remarks.

It also raises an important question. Is this something that the GOP believes?
