Get the scoop about York's Christmas tree
How many lights will go on York's holiday tree?
He's been doing it for three decades, so excuse David Rudolph for not getting too giddy with holiday cheer over the community tree coming to York's Continental Square next week. But don't think he doesn't care about it. Quite the contrary."One of the hardest things I do is picking out the tree," said Rudolph, who is superintendent of the city's electrical bureau and building maintenance. "I lose more sleep picking out the tree than any other job I do."If you pick the wrong tree, you're crucified in every newspaper, he said, referencing last year's uproar over Reading's "Charlie Brown" Christmas tree. And so many people see it on the northeast corner of the square.
