Pseudo science explained by a pseudo intellectual

I know, I know, there have been many (maybe too many) topics on climate change, but when I read this explanation by Doctor of climatology Ted Cruz, I had to laugh. I give the guy credit for going out and saying stuff. But to then trying to justify what he just said with some obscure linkage . . . Like climate change with liberal politics as some sort of power grab is hilarious. Jeez Ted, make sure your brain is engaged before you put your mouth in gear.

White House contender Cruz dismisses climate change as 'pseudo-scientific'

Washington (AFP) - Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz dismissed climate change Wednesday as a "pseudo-scientific theory" by liberals seeking to impose government control over the economy and "every aspect of our lives."

Cruz, a US senator from Texas who has gained momentum recently among his party's ultra-conservatives, advanced the claim in an interview with National Public Radio, contending that scientists have switched theories over the decades to favor government intervention.

"First, it was global cooling, then it was global warming," he said.

"Now it is 'climate change,' and climate change is the perfect pseudo-scientific theory for a big-government politician who wants more power."

Their intention all along, Cruz said, has been to attain "massive government control over the economy, the energy sector and every aspect of our lives."

Hey, I guess saying stuff like this gets you some attention . . . maybe just Fox 'news', but it's still attention. And scrambling to get attention among the clown car of republican candidates, especially with Trump in the race, is really hard work.

Re: Pseudo science explained by a pseudo intellectual

It's rather embarrassing, really, what has become of the GOP. You know, the conservative party in Britain is spearheading efforts to deal with climate change.
There is a broad scientific consensus. There is widespread acceptance of the theory all over the world among progressives and conservatives alike.

Only on the far right of American politics is this theory considered "pseudo-science".

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.
