Re: What's in Store for Mexico?

Everyone is talking in black and white and we're living in a very gray world.

The biggest thing that we'll see from a trade perspective is that it is likely that the TPP will not be passed anytime soon.

NAFTA may see some tweaks. But remember this:

America's biggest trading partner is the EU. The second biggest is Canada. Third is China and Mexico comes in fourth.

And in terms of a trade deficit, the EU, China, Japan, and Germany are ahead of our deficit with Mexico.

We're not going to get into a trade war with the EU, Japan, and Germany and if we did get into one with China, there would be a major financial meltdown around the world.

The anti free trade argument got Trump elected. But becoming an isolationist country isn't going to do anyone good. What's the point of building a bunch of new factories ain't going to do anyone any good if we can't sell stuff around the world.

I think you're going to see a lot of different United States of America over the next three, four, or eight years. - President Donald J. Trump

Bridges, not walls

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.
