Very frightening article.
This next phase of the Trump Presidency promises to be the most dangerous.
2020 is two years away.
Mueller is not going to magically save the Republic.
Let's face it, there is no other line of defense than Congress standing up as the co-equal branch of government as per their article I powers, and serving as a check on this foolish, ignorant, megalomaniac.
The time has come for true statesman. And for courage.

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

Yes, there is one even greater defense: active, informed, voter participation in the election process and post election constituent involvement in the activities of their elected representatives.
